About CYBERPUNKDLE

CYBERPUNKDLE is an independent, fan-made puzzle game about the world of Cyberpunk 2077. It borrows the format made popular by Wordle and Loldle, one puzzle a day with feedback after every guess, and fills it with the people and weapons of Night City.

The idea

Cyberpunk 2077 has a huge cast, and recognising a fixer from a single line or a ripperdoc from three emojis is a good test of how well you know it. CYBERPUNKDLE turns that into a short daily habit: a few minutes, six puzzles and a score to compare with friends.

Alongside the game, the site offers a complete guide, a database of the 43 characters with a profile for each of them, and a reference page on the 44 iconic weapons used in Arsenal mode.

How the puzzles are made

Every day, each mode picks its answer from its own pool: the whole roster for Classic, characters with a verified quote for Quote mode, iconic weapons for Arsenal, and so on. The choice is deterministic, so everybody gets the same puzzle, and it is computed on the server: your browser receives the clue but never the answer.

Guesses are checked on the server too, and blurred portraits are generated there, which is why the game needs a connection. Your progress and statistics, on the other hand, stay in your browser.

Where the data comes from

  • Character names and weapon names were checked against the game’s own data (patch 2.31).
  • Weapon classes (Power, Tech, Smart) come from the game’s item records; manufacturers and weapon types come from the Cyberpunk Wiki and match the base model of each weapon.
  • Character attributes (gender, affiliation, roles, first appearance) are compared with the infoboxes of the Cyberpunk Wiki on Fandom. Roles follow the wiki’s classification, based on the classes of the Cyberpunk role-playing game.
  • Ages are filled in only when the wiki gives a canonical age for 2077, and districts only when a character is clearly tied to one place. Otherwise the grid shows “unknown” rather than a guess.
  • Quotes come from Wikiquote and the Cyberpunk Wiki and were checked against their source. The English version shows the original line; the other languages show a translation.
  • Character profiles are written for this site from the Cyberpunk Wiki, and each one links to the full article.

Some facts in Cyberpunk 2077 depend on the player’s choices. When the game allows several outcomes, we keep one reference value and use it consistently. Despite these checks a mistake can slip through, and the data is corrected whenever one is found.

Nine languages, one puzzle

The interface, the guides and the character profiles are available in English, French, Spanish, German, Portuguese, Italian, Polish, Japanese and Chinese. The puzzles are identical in every language: only the display changes. Character names and setting-specific terms such as fixer or netrunner keep their original form.
