Mitch Anderson

Mitch Anderson is an Aldecaldos nomad from Saul Bright’s family and one of Panam Palmer’s closest friends. During the Unification War, he and his friend Scorpion fought for the Free States as panzerboys, crewing the armored vehicles of an elite combat unit. The war marked them both. To keep their synapses up to the task of controlling the tanks, crews were given drug cocktails that risked triggering cyberpsychosis, and the two men came home with severe PTSD. Once recovered, Mitch returned to the clan’s smuggling runs.

Within the family, Mitch is respected and fiercely loyal to the people close to him. When Panam’s main questline brings down a Kang Tao AV, he is among the Aldecaldos who head to the crash site, and ends up needing rescue himself. He later stands up for Panam when she argues with Saul, and it is his drone that lets V scout the Wraiths’ camp when Panam plans Saul’s rescue in Riders on the Storm.

Mitch is firmly on Panam’s side when she plans to steal a Militech Basilisk tank in With a Little Help from My Friends, convinced that Saul’s corporate deal would tear the family apart. In I’ll Fly Away, he asks V to help give a fallen comrade the fiery, nomad-style send-off that comrade had wished for. In English, Mitch is voiced by Martin McDougall.
