Misty Olszewski

Misty Olszewski is a New Age spiritualist who runs Misty’s Esoterica, a small shop on Urmland Street in Little China, Watson, where customers come for incense and good-luck charms. She grew up in Heywood alongside Jackie Welles, and the childhood friends became a couple in 2076, much to the disappointment of Jackie’s mother. Her neighbor and close friend Viktor Vektor runs his ripperdoc clinic from the basement behind the shop.

Jackie introduces V to Misty and Vik during the prologue, and she quickly joins the small circle of people V can rely on. After the Konpeki Plaza heist, she helps look after V, shares the grief over Jackie’s death and offers tarot readings about the road ahead. If V tracks down the tarot murals scattered across Night City, Misty interprets them as stages of the Fool’s journey.

Misty takes her beliefs seriously without preaching, and her shop works as a quiet refuge where V can stop and think. Her gentle, perceptive manner offers a counterpoint to the violence of the rest of V’s world. Depending on V’s choices after Jackie’s death, she can also attend the ofrenda his family holds, despite Mamá Welles’s misgivings.
