Biography

Rosalind Myers is the president of the New United States of America, the third to hold the office and only the second woman. A former US Marine, she caught the eye of Militech’s leadership and succeeded Donald Lundee as CEO after his death. She ran the arms maker for almost a decade, then resigned to run for president and won in 2065.

Reunification defines her presidency. In 2069 she launched the Unification War to force the Free States back under federal rule, and in 2070 NUSA forces moved on Night City. Arasaka’s intervention stopped that push, and Myers signed the Arvin Accord to end the war without the full annexation she wanted. By 2077 she is in her third term and eyeing a fourth. Night City is split on her: critics see a corporate-backed autocrat, others would accept federal control if it brought crime down. The base game only shows her in news broadcasts.

Phantom Liberty puts her on the ground. Space Force One, her spaceplane, is hit by missiles and crash-lands in Dogtown, the walled district held by Kurt Hansen’s Barghest militia. Songbird, an FIA netrunner, reaches V through the Relic and asks the merc to get the president out alive, which leads to a tense escape and, later, to sleeper agent Solomon Reed. Her database entry adds a long-standing nicotine habit, judged more dangerous to her than the repeated attempts on her life.
