Biography
Sebastian Ibarra, known across Heywood as Padre and sometimes called the Saint of Heywood, is the fixer V works with in that district. His roots are in the Valentinos, where he acted as a priest for the gang. According to his database entry, a bloodbath at Moto Cielo changed his course: after surviving it, he left that role behind and took up the fixer trade, with The Glen as his base.
At first Padre found work only for Heywood locals and fellow Valentinos, but over the years he opened his door to rivals such as 6th Street. He follows a personal code of honor and refuses to back any single gang, because what he really protects is the fragile balance of power in Night City. That neutrality should not be mistaken for softness. By 2077 he is a respected figure in Heywood, and a dangerous one.
Players who pick the Streetkid lifepath meet him in the opening job. Padre, an old acquaintance of V’s, gives them a ride to Westbrook and has a tense run-in with 6th Street ganger Sam Carter along the way. Carter’s body later turns up in Vista del Rey, carrying a shard in which Padre answers his defiance with Bible verses. Whatever the lifepath, Padre hands out the Heywood gigs, a few of which spill over into City Center. He also makes a cameo in the anime Cyberpunk: Edgerunners.
