Biography

Yorinobu Arasaka is Saburo Arasaka’s younger son and the black sheep of the family. Raised in luxury and educated at Japan’s best schools, he broke with his father after graduating from university, once he learned what Arasaka truly stood for, and walked out of the family compound. In Tokyo he founded the Steel Dragons, a bōsōzoku gang devoted to exposing and damaging his father’s company. That past as a charismatic rebel, rallying people against the corporations rather than playing music, is why he carries the rockerboy label.

With help from his sister Hanako, Yorinobu later made peace with the family and returned to its business. In 2077, though, the public mostly sees him as a provocative billionaire heir with no real post at Arasaka, known for feuding with his father and for publicly demanding that the company change.

His actions set Cyberpunk 2077 in motion. Yorinobu brings a stolen Relic prototype to Night City and keeps it in his suite at Konpeki Plaza, the target of the heist V and Jackie Welles carry out on behalf of Evelyn Parker. Saburo turns up the same night to confront his son, and V and Jackie, hidden in the suite, see far more than they bargained for. Yorinobu remains one of the central figures of the main story, and his fate depends on the choices V makes.
