Biography

T-Bug, often just called Bug, is a freelance netrunner who works with V and Jackie Welles during their first months as mercs. Choosy about her contracts, she plans to earn enough eddies to retire and leave Night City for good. Before meeting V she ran gigs in Coastview with the solo Rhino, who later ended up fighting for the Animals, and she once helped the fixer Dexter DeShawn get out of Pacifica after he crossed the Voodoo Boys.

In The Rescue, the first mission after the prologue, she takes care of a Scavenger den’s security while V and Jackie go in after Sandra Dorsett. Dex has worked with her before and brings her onto his crew for the Konpeki Plaza heist, the job to steal a prototype biochip from Arasaka. During the preparation V insists that she join the braindance session with Evelyn Parker and Judy Álvarez, so she can study the hotel firsthand. The heist goes wrong, and T-Bug does not survive it.

She was one of the first faces of the game’s marketing. The E3 2018 trailer showed her killing an Arasaka employee remotely, and she guided V to Sandra in the 48-minute gameplay demo. The E3 2019 cinematic trailer gave her a darker role, helping Dex shut down V’s implants after the botched job, a scene that never made it into the final game.
