Viktor Vektor

Viktor Vektor, known as Vik, is a ripperdoc whose clinic sits behind Misty’s Esoterica in Little China, Watson. Before he picked up a scalpel, he fought as a heavyweight boxer for the Night City Devils club and reached the final of the Watson Boxing Grand Prix, where he finished runner-up. He still follows the sport closely. His clinic is plain and free of corporate logos, and he has extended V credit more than once without complaint.

Vik has known V and Jackie since the start of their merc careers. Before the Konpeki Plaza heist he fits V with new optics and a ballistic coprocessor on an IOU, describing the debt as an investment in V coming back alive. After the job, Takemura brings V to his table in critical condition, and it falls to Vik to explain what the Relic is doing to V’s mind and why he cannot fix it.

Calm and dependable, Vik remains one of the few constants in V’s life throughout the story, always ready to run a checkup or simply to talk. His past comes back in a boxing side story, where he acts as V’s coach and cornerman for a bout against the champion Razor Hugh in Pacifica. He also returns in Phantom Liberty, where V can ask his opinion on a new lead for dealing with the Relic.
